American gospel singer, Don Moen is in the country ahead of his performance at the Love Malawi Festival over the weekend.
Moen is scheduled to perform on both Saturday and Sunday at the evangelist effort aimed at fostering unity, hope and love.

He arrived at Kamuzu International Airport on board South African Airways with his six piece band.
“Coming with a band is a blessing to Malawi as I usually don’t travel with my band. It costs a lot of money to bring a band. Other than that, I am looking forward to the event,” he said in an interview.
He added: “It is good to be in Malawi, warm reception and beautiful people. I am looking forward to a great weekend.” Moen will be joined by a number of local and international artists including US’ Dave Lubben as well as KBG Soldiers, Great Angels, KBG, Faith Mussa, Suffix, and the Love Malawi Choir.
He Moen repeatedly said his coming to Malawi is not about him.
“I am honoured to be part of the event but its great how people know my music everywhere I go. It’s more than humbling when they know your
music yet you have never toured the country,” he said.
