Nigeria’s award winning stand-up comedian Basketmouth is expected to perform in Malawi onDecember 5.
Qoncept Creative, the organisers of the event have announced.
“Save the date. Basket Mouth on December 5,” read a teaser on the big screens of the Bingu International Conference Centre soon after the Ladysmith Black Mambazo show on Saturday.
Born Bright Okpocha, 14 September 1978 in Lagos, the comedian is famous for his joke about life, titled; Two Things Involved: The Circle Of Life.
“This life we live, there are two things involved, either you’re a man or you’re a woman. If you’re a woman, you’re safe but if you’re a man, there are two things involved. Either you’re a civilian or you’re in the military,” and the joke goes on to “death”.
According to information sourced on the internet, Basketmouth started comedy in 2000.
He has performed at different events across the globe with some fht fine stand up comedians including Malawi’s Daliso Chaponda, Kenya’s Eric Omondi and South Africa’s Tumi Morake.
